Sharjah 24: Khawla Barley, Head of Initiatives at Special Olympics UAE, stated that participating in the activities of the Global Media Congress (GMC) exhibition and conference, which kicked off Tuesday under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) and wraps up today, Thursday, enhances societal values such as tolerance, integration, and balance, which align with the core values of the Special Olympics .
She said that is a rare honour and privilege to be part of the event.
Barley spoke about the unified champions programme, which she views as a way to promote tolerance and acceptance within the community and specifically within our schools community. She said that she is happy to see all of the positive reception from the community as well as all of the other incredible initiatives that are happening across the UAE.
