The event aims to support breastfeeding mothers, spread awareness among society regarding the matter, and assist working mothers in balancing work tasks and their motherly duties.
The event's activities included many virtual educational lectures on the benefits of breastfeeding, presented by an elite group of health specialists, in addition to field visits to various government and private hospitals, health centres, nurseries, and private companies across the Emirates, during which publications, posters and awareness consultations were presented for mothers and those interested.
The activities concluded with the closing ceremony, which witnessed a remarkable presence of volunteers, mothers, and children.
For her part, Engineer Khawla Abdul Aziz Al Noman, President of the Breastfeeding Friends Association, stated that the event translates the directives of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, President of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, on the necessity of raising the level of health awareness for mothers to maintain sustainable health for children and mothers and encouraging breastfeeding as the essential foundation for building a healthy family relationship.
