Sharjah 24: Algerian writer and novelist Ahlam Mosteghanemi explained that Sharjah invented a fifth season for the year: the book, which comes annually, at Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), celebrating intellectuals, creators, and publishing houses.

Algerian writer and novelist Ahlam Mosteghanemi stated that the Emirate of Sharjah resembles its people in their tranquility and the Emirate gives energy for creativity.  Mosteghanemi noted that SIBF has become like a wedding where everyone participates, whereas it is not just a book fair; and throughout the year there are achievements and celebrations of publishing houses, writers, and readers.
 
Speaking exclusively to Sharjah 24, Mosteghanemi added that “Sharjah is the fort of Arabism and culture, and she saluted His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for the interest His Highness attaches to the Arabic language,” and she hoped more will be accomplished to defend the currently threatened Arabic language.
