Sharjah24: After completing all of the essential requirements and standards, the Municipality of Sharjah City has announced that Sahuarita Park and Muwaileh Park were awarded World Disability Union (WDU) certificates for facilities catering to individuals with disabilities.
The Director General of Sharjah Municipality, Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, emphasised that the municipality manages more than 70 parks in various regions of Sharjah City, offering first-rate service amenities. These parks are deemed friendly to seniors and people with disabilities because they provide appropriate facilities and services.
He said that the municipality places a high value on people with disabilities and makes certain that all of their requirements are satisfied.
The World Disability Union presented the two certificates to Dr Shatha Ali Al Mulla, Director of Institutional Support at Sharjah City Municipality.
