Sharjah24: In carrying out the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council , on enhancing positive communication with society and providing all necessary resources and amenities for individuals, Sharjah Municipality announced that it has immediately started implementing the Sharjah Executive Council's decision to grant a 50% discount from the total value of fines incurred for all violations issued before September 5, 2023.
This offer is available to all people, businesses, and government and semi-government organisations. It is valid until December 3, 2023, after the expiration of the discount's defined duration, which is 90 days after the day the decision was issued.

In this context, Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah City Municipality, expressed his profound appreciation for the generous initiative undertaken by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and His Highness the Crown Prince. He emphasised that this initiative underscores their strong commitment to understanding and addressing the needs of the community, alleviating the financial burdens on both individuals and businesses, and fostering increased productivity and contribution towards the emirate's growth and prosperity.

He mentioned that the reduction will be consistently applied to all fines and violations issued by various departments under the jurisdiction of the Sharjah City Municipality, with no exceptions. This comprehensive coverage includes fines associated with public parking, regulatory and health compliance, food safety, environmental concerns, engineering and construction infractions, violations within hotel establishments, advertising firms, sewage-related issues, and various other areas of municipal oversight and enforcement.

Al Taniji pointed out that the municipality offers a range of convenient payment options for these fines. Beneficiaries of this decision can utilise smart services accessible via the official municipality website, the Ministry of Interior's official website and smart application, self-service kiosks, as well as authorised service outlets affiliated with the municipality. Additionally, vehicle-related fines can be settled and inquiries made through the Sharjah Digital website and application. He further underscored the municipality's commitment to collaborate with other governmental entities across the Emirates, in order to facilitate the collection of municipality fines while applying the stipulated reduction until its specified end date.
