Sharjah 24: Abdullah Al Zarouni, the director of the Real Estate Transactions unit at the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, revealed that the value of real estate transactions in the Emirate of Sharjah during the first nine months of the current fiscal year 2023 exceeded AED 19 billion. These transactions represented a 14.6 per cent increase compared to the same period in the previous year. Additionally, the value of mortgages in this period amounted to AED4.4 billion.

According to the performance report of the real estate industry for the first nine months generated by the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, the total number of transactions surpassed 60,000, he said to Sharjah 24.

Sharjah city had the highest number of real estate sales, with 5,734 transactions in 114 areas totalling AED 7.5 billion.

According to Abdullah Al Zarouni, 97 nationalities from around the world have invested in the Emirate of Sharjah during the first nine months of 2023, with Emirati citizens investing AED11.1 billion in 15,857 properties as a result of changes in laws allowing foreign ownership and investors.
