Sharjah24: With an aim to develop the skills of the members of Rubu’ Qarn organization, as well as spur their creativity and innovation in the world of theater and performing arts, as well as providing an opportunity for expertise exchange, a group of members from Sharjah Capability Development, an affiliate of Rubu' Qarn for Creating future Leaders and Innovators, are preparing to depart from Sharjah to participate in the Aldin Festival, which will be held from 22 to 31 October 2023, in the Sultanate of Oman.
The members will perform "Waiting Station" which is a silent mime play that tells the story of a man's journey through the trials and tribulations of life, as he waits at a train station. The play emphasizes the importance of getting rest and enjoying life, despite the pressures that the person may face.

Khalid Al Nakhi, Director of Sharjah Capability Development, expressed his great pride in the participation of the members in the Aldin Festival, saying: "The participation of Sharjah Capability Development's members in the Aldin Festival is a testament to the organization’s commitment to supporting young talents in various fields, including performing arts. We believe that performing arts is an important tool for developing young people's skills and creative abilities and promoting their sense of national belonging.”

Dr. Adnan Salloum, Performing Arts Expert at Rubu' Qarn, added: "We are excited to participate in the Aldin Festival, and we hope that our performance will be well-received by the Omani audience and the festival guests. This performance highlights the importance of the art of mime to convey humanitarian messages, and we are confident that it will reach the widest possible audience."

The performer, Abdullah Mohammed Saleh, thanked His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Federal Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and his wife Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasim, Chairperson of Rubu’ Qarn for creating future leaders and innovators, for their support for theater and the establishment of organizations that embrace the talents of members by providing programs and workshops that help to develop their individual skills.

Rubu’ Qarn for Leaders and Innovators is the first UAE, Arab and regional initiative to grow an Emirati generation capable of leading and influencing the future.
