Sharjah24: Saeed bin Yarouf Al Naqbi, Director of the Support Services Department of the Sharjah Antiquities Authority (SAA) , pointed out the participation of SAA at GITEX , with the “Archaeology Center in the Metaverse World” project, which aims to provide a realistic simulation experience for visiting archaeological sites in the Emirate of Sharjah at any time .
Saeed bin Yarouf Al Naqbi stated in exclusive statements to Sharjah 24 that the “archaeological katam ” is being displayed in the city of Kalba in the Emirate of Sharjah through this technology, where high-resolution images of the rock engravings are presented and visitors can walk around them and explore them realistically, in addition to those interested have the opportunity to see the social pattern and natural life of the people who lived in the previous period.
Al Naqbi explained that the launch of the “Archaeology Center in the Metaverse World” is an innovative and exciting step to enhance cultural and historical awareness in the Emirate of Sharjah, as this center provides the opportunity to explore archaeological sites in an innovative and interactive way, and contributes to enhancing communication and interaction between visitors and specialists in the field of archaeology.
