Sharjah24: The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), represented by the Intaj Centre, participated in the activities of the 3rd edition of the Al Dhaid Date Festival, being organised from October 6 – 9, by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) at the Expo in Al Dhaid city.
The Department's participation included showcasing handmade products and home industries of the productive families in the central region during the exhibition halls over three days.
The event attracted a sizable audience, and the festival corridors were transformed into a heritage platform, celebrating the iconic palm tree and the ancestral professions of parents and grandparents.
With the participation of numerous palm owners, farmers, and producing families, the Festival gave participants a crucial opportunity to market and sell date-related items and increase their sales.
