Sharjah 24: To enhance swimming skills among children, Sharjah Children, affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, launched the Professional Swimming Pool Project, targeting 100 female members in the age group of 6-12 years. The launch took place at Al Raqqa and Al-Qarayen child centers.
This project aims to teach female children the sport of swimming and the related scientific and applied skills under the supervision of specialised and professional trainers in the field of discovering talents and teaching swimming to children. There has also been cooperation with a sports medical team that conducts physiological tests for the participants to measure the extent of their physical development.
The professional swimming pool aims to develop, nurture and refine the participants’ skills and talent in this field and prepare them for local and international sports competitions, to form a large base of talented female swimmers, and to provide the Rubu’ Qarn institutions and the Women’s Sports Foundation with professional swimming talents.
