Sharjah24: One of the most significant medical campaigns run by the Sharjah Charity International (SCI) outside the country on an ongoing basis is the "Little Hearts" campaign, which focuses on providing medical care for children with heart disease around the world, in addition to the assistance the Society provides to heart patients inside the country. As the number of operations that have been carried out has reached, according to the report released by the SCI on the occasion of World Heart Day, approximately 1,350 catheterization and open-heart operations were performed in India, Bangladesh, Senegal, Mauritania, Morocco, Sudan, Tanzania, and Tajikistan between the start of the project in 2009 and the end of last year.
SCI conducts organized campaigns consisting of a specialized medical team headed by Dr. Ahmed Al Kamali, head of the medical team for the Little Hearts Campaign, to the countries covered by the SCI’s work and projects.

Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SCI, stated that the Little Hearts Campaign aims to provide care for children with heart diseases who need urgent heart surgery, as part of SCI’s efforts to implement its vision aimed at focusing on works that directly touch the necessary human needs, most importantly Health and education, as the association runs medical campaigns in which an integrated medical team is available to perform surgeries and takes care of all the campaign costs from the donations of benefactors, indicating that this project does a great job by harnessing the donations of benefactors while bringing joy to the souls of deserving groups and their families.
