Al Asayl Exhibition launches with grandeur at Expo Al Dhaid

Sharjah24: The eagerly anticipated second edition of Al Asayl Exhibition 2023 commenced today (Thursday) at Expo Al Dhaid with a grand opening ceremony. Organized by Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the exhibition brings together a host of companies specializing in horses, camels, falcons, and renowned brands. Additionally, it features the participation of various clubs and government associations dedicated to equestrian and falconry pursuits.
The event, which is scheduled to run until October 1, was inaugurated by HE Waleed Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, Second Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at the SCCI. The ceremony was attended by  Jamal Mohammed Sultan bin Huwaiden , Ali Mohammed Al Khayyal and Halima Humaid Al Owais, members of SCCI Board of Directors, HE Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah; and Sultan Shattaf, Commercial Director at Expo Centre Sharjah, along with numerous government officials, dignitaries, and representatives of the event's organisers and supporters.

HE Waleed Bukhatir stressed that the Al Asayl exhibition 2023 holds a pivotal position as an economic and commercial event imbued with heritage dimensions. The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry is committed to providing al; forms of support to the exhibition to ensure it effectively meets its objectives, notably  fortifying Emirati customs, traditions, heritage, and culture. With falconry, camel, and horse sports being heritage sports that garner substantial interest in the UAE, the organization of this event is imperative. Not only does it play a crucial role in the preservation of heritage and promotion of sustainable hunting practices, but it also significantly contributes to bolstering the momentum within the hunting and equestrian industries.

For his part, Al Midfa noted that Al Asayl Exhibition has successfully carved a niche for itself in Expo Al Dhaid's annual calendar, as evidenced by the broad participation it attracted from companies and brands specializing in equine, camel, and falcon supplies. Hosting the event for the second consecutive year also reflects Expo Centre Sharjah’s commitment to promoting local cultural interests and catering to the various preferences of the region's residents and visitors, especially in the heritage sector.
On the first day, Al Asayl Exhibition drew in a substantial crowd of enthusiasts and connoisseurs of hunting and equestrian sports. Visitors were enthralled by the vibrant heritage ambiance, captivating entertainment events, and the array of presentations by participants showcasing cutting-edge care products for horses and camels. The exhibition is expected to welcome more visitors over the next few days, with doors open from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, offering an expansive and immersive experience for all attendees.
