Before the curtain comes down on the activities of the 12th edition of the International Government Communication Forum, which was organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau over two days; The Sharjah Department of Statistics and Community Development (DSCD) organised a dialogue session for various suburb councils in the city of Sharjah.
The session's activities saw the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department, Dr. Abdullah Sulaiman Al Kaboori, Director of the Department, and a number of heads and members of suburban councils and directors of departments and divisions in the Department.
Al Shamsi said that the session aimed to enhance communication between the suburb councils and the people of the suburbs by exchanging opinions on work mechanisms, confronting challenges, and developing solutions that enhance their role as a link between government departments and institutions.
Al Shamsi pointed out that the suburb councils work side by side with various competent authorities to monitor societal problems and address negative phenomena, and work to help residents raise their needs to the concerned authorities, as well as follow up on the implementation of projects and initiatives that will develop service facilities in the suburbs.
