Vandana Shiva shares her environment-related experience at IGCF

Sharjah 24: Dr. Vandana Shiva, an Indian researcher and environmental activist advocating for food sovereignty expressed happiness at being back in Sharjah, particularly to attend the 12th edition of the International Government Communication Forum, to share my ideas and experience about how to build the future but not for condemning us to extinction and collapse.

The two-day IGCF is being organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau at Expo Centre on Wednesday and Thursday, 13th and 14th September, under the theme “Today’s Resources... Tomorrow’s Wealth”.

Speaking to "Sharjah 24", Dr. Vandana Shiva said that the future begins with biodiversity and by changing the food system from an industrial system that is causing species extinction, hunger, poverty and disease, to a food system that regenerates the earth.

She added that biodiversity is mentioned in all religions and to achieve this we have to abide by these teachings.
