Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Municipality (SM) announced that it conducted 165,655 medical fitness examinations during the first half of this year, in its medical fitness centres, which are distributed in different regions of Sharjah.
In this context, Dr. Amal Al Shamsi, Director of the Public Health Services Department at Sharjah Municipality (SM), confirmed that medical fitness centres are operated by distinguished medical and technical staff with experience and competence, and are equipped with the best equipment and tools necessary to show results accurately within a short time.
Dr. Amal Al Shamsi indicated that the Department of Public Health Services issued during the first half of this year 61,828 occupational health cards and 116,738 certificates of absence from diseases that pose a threat to public health.
Al Shamsi indicated that the medical fitness centres reflect the role of the municipality in promoting public health through the medical fitness examination services it provides to issue occupational health cards, or to issue certificates of absence from diseases that pose a threat to public health, to obtain residence visas or to join higher education institutions and for employees.
