Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC) and the Amiri Guard have jointly announced the successful execution of the security and traffic plan during the initial days of the upcoming academic year.
This accomplishment follows the collaborative endeavours aimed at ensuring the utmost security and safety standards for both students and educational staff throughout the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year. This effort has been made in partnership with key strategic allies.
Brigadier General Dr. Ali Abu Al Zoud, Deputy Director-General of the Central Operations Department at SPGC, underscored that the security and traffic measures implemented on routes leading to schools encompassed a heightened presence of traffic patrols on internal and external roadways, as well as at intersections connected to schools.
These measures aim to facilitate smooth traffic flow while prioritising the safety of students through designated pedestrian crossings. Additionally, steps have been taken to secure students as they disembark from their vehicles and make their way to school premises.
In a related context, the new radio segment of the "Aman Ya Beladi" programme kicked off this morning. The programme is broadcast live on Sharjah Radio every Monday morning. It serves as a platform for discussing a variety of topics in its diverse segments.
During the programme, Colonel Mohammed Al Manai, Head of the Community Awareness Department at the Community Police, Captain Abdulaziz Marwan Al Yahyai, Officer in charge of Road Safety and Transportation at the Traffic and Patrols Department, and Captain Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Head of the Specialised Operations Department at the Amiri Guard, were featured as guests.
Colonel Al Manai elaborated that the Community Police Department places a strong emphasis on enhancing traffic safety by fostering awareness among bus drivers, aiming to mitigate risks stemming from negligence or lack of attention.
