Al-Shamsi: UAE women remain vital to national security

Sharjah24: The Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, Major General Saif Al-Zari Al-Shamsi, recently remarked that Emirati women are a vital part of the UAE's present and future prosperity.
This morning, the General Command of the Sharjah Police hosted a celebration at its headquarters in honour of Emirati Women's Day, which is annually observed on August 28 and whose theme this year is "We Share for Tomorrow. In attendance were a large number of Sharjah Police officers, as well as directors, deputies, female leaders, and community figures.

According to Major General Al-Shamsi, the UAE's brilliant leadership has helped empower women to achieve outstanding accomplishments both at home and abroad. He thanked Emirati women for their contributions to national service, the armed forces, and national security.

The video "We Share for Tomorrow," which chronicled the experiences of Emirati women, was presented to the attendees of the event. Artist Samira Ahmed, author Asmaa Al-Zarouni, sports activist Mariam Al-Zaabi, and Lieutenant Nada Saif Al-Shamsi of the Sharjah Police participated in the event.

Participants, mothers from the "Asala" club affiliated with the Sharjah Department of Social Services, retirees, partners, supporters, and sponsors from cooperating agencies and institutions were honoured by the Commander-in-Chief of the Sharjah Police.
