Department of Culture presents its publications to APC children

Sharjah 24: On the occasion of holding the second session of the third term of the Arab Parliament for the Child (APC), in Sharjah, Sharjah Department of Culture (SDC) presented APC children a variety of its publications, suitable for their age, encouraging free reading and developing their talents in different literary fields.
On this occasion, an exhibition was organised to include all the publications of Sharjah Department of Culture at the residence of the Arab delegations in Sharjah, where they viewed all the publications, and received several copies, including the Sharjah Cultural Magazine, Al Rafid magazine, Al Qawafi magazine, Al Masrah magazine, and Al Sharqiya and Al Wusta magazine.  They also received a number of publications in the field of poetry, novels, short stories, criticism, and other books.

Muhammad Al Qaseer, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs at SDC, spoke about the department's participation, and the integration of its efforts and partnership with APC, aiming at availing literary production to APC members, who represent an important segment, that is dear to everyone's hearts, which is the children's segment.

Muhammad Al Qaseer explained that books are published under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, with the aim of gifting APC children copies of those publications suitable for their age.

Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for the Child, expressed the importance of SDC participation in organising the cultural exhibition and availing books to children to stimulate their creativity.

Al Barout extended his thanks to SDC for caring for children and developing their literary talents.

Al Barout pointed out that the Parliament seeks, among its objectives, to encourage Arab children to publish books and literary works, in addition to participating in the Young Parliamentarian magazine, which is a space for media and literary creativity for children in all countries of the Arab world.
