Sharjah 24 – AFP: Six people were killed in Kenya on Wednesday, two police officers told AFP as demonstrators defied a ban to join a protest called by opposition leader Raila Odinga against tax hikes.
"We have three deaths in Mlolongo, where a group of demonstrators had blocked the road to protest, and we also have two others in Kitengela and one in Emali," a police officer said, with a second policeman also confirming the six fatalities in the three towns.
