The pedestrian roads in the holy sites stretch 25 km, from Mount Arafat, known as the "Mount of Mercy", through Muzdalifah, and to Mina. This route is renowned as the longest pedestrian road in the world, and it is traversed by millions of pilgrims each year during the Hajj season.
To alleviate the impact of the high temperatures on the pilgrims, sprinters are stationed along the sidewalks of the streets, spraying water mist to cool the atmosphere. This thoughtful measure aims to provide relief and ensure the well-being of the pilgrims.
