During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed reviewed updated statistics on various sectors in the emirate contained in the 26th edition of the statistical yearbook 2022.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the importance of statistical projects in creating a comprehensive system that fosters the emirate’s overall growth.
He also acknowledged the backing of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, for statistical work in the emirate, which is vital for future local and national decision-making and sustainable development.
He was then briefed about the projects and surveys carried out by the centre, most notably the Fujairah Census 2023.
The centre’s team involved in the census project was lauded by Sheikh Mohammed, who highlighted the importance of adopting the best practices and technologies in statistical work.
