Sharjah wins Archery Championship's gold, silver medals

During the event
Sharjah 24: The Championship of the UAE President Cup for Archery (Indoor) concluded on Saturday evening, organised by the UAE Archery Federation at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah, marking the end of the current season in 2023.
In the men's Recurve Bow category, Sharjah secured the gold and silver medals through Hassan Ibrahim and Issa Majdi, while Youssef Abdullah from Fujairah Martial Arts Club won the bronze medal.

Alia Al Saleh from Fujairah Martial Arts Club claimed the gold medal in the women's Recurve Bow category, followed by Valeria Sardine from Abu Dhabi with the silver medal and Snehal Devakar from Dubai Archers with the bronze.

Munir Islam from Al Madam Cultural and Sports Club won the gold medal in the men's Compound Bow category, while Dubai Archers secured the silver and bronze medals through Vikrant Rana and Wadah Rafeeq.

Mohini Suhankumar from Dubai Archers clinched the gold medal in the women's Compound Bow category, followed by Aisha Mohammed Al Mansouri from Abu Dhabi with the silver medal, and Charlein Megan from Dubai Archers with the bronze.

Ahmed Ali Al Naqbi from Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled won the gold medal in the Compound Bow category for people of determination, while Dubai Club for People of Determination secured the silver and bronze medals through players Gholam Khurshid and Abdulrahman Balqous.

Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, President of the UAE Archery Federation, emphasised that the Championship of His Highness the President of the State represents the best conclusion to a season that witnessed numerous achievements by the national teams in external competitions, in addition to the distinguished participation of clubs that had the honour of representing the country internationally and winning medals.

Al Kaabi further explained that the Federation looks forward to more supportive programmes to build players' capacities, attract more male and female practitioners, enhance partnerships with regional and international federations, and train coaches and referees.
