The programme promoted intellectual property, its role in safeguarding ideas, and the General Command of Sharjah Police's innovation system.
In the workshop's opening, Colonel Tariq Al Madfaa, Director of the Strategy and Performance Development Department at Sharjah Police, welcomed attendees and speakers from the Emirates Intellectual Property Association (EIPA) and stressed the importance of collaboration in the field of innovations and protecting intellectual property rights through workshops that raise awareness among members about the importance of intellectual property.
Colonel Tariq Al Madfaa said the session shows Sharjah Police's dedication to protecting its members' IP. He said intellectual property drives innovation in the police and security domains, encouraging pioneering technologies that promote the UAE's global innovation strategy.
Ayida Al Nuwbani and Aziza Al Hamadi from the Ministry of Economy tackled numerous issues at the session. They discussed intellectual property, its categories, the registration process, the interaction between innovators and institutions in innovation management, and intellectual property investment.
Following the workshop, Colonel Tariq Al Madfaa honoured the speakers, Al Nawbani and Al Hamadi from the Ministry of Economy, and Jameela Naji Saeed from the Emirates Intellectual Property Association, for their cooperation and great efforts.
