Sharjah 24: The UAE national show jumping team's jockey, Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi, has stated that the team's qualification for the 2024 Olympics in Paris is an important and honourable historical milestone that further cements the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) position and enhances its worldwide supremacy in equestrian sport.
Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi is an experienced show jumper. He has won multiple titles at international competitions and competed at the 2009 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. In 2006, he won the Children's World Cup held in Canada, in addition to many other local accomplishments. Also, after winning the 2017 Longines Championship, he led Sharjah Club to qualify for the World Cup with nine riders.
Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi said that the fact that five jockeys will be at the 2024 Olympics is proof that equestrian sports in the UAE can reach their full potential.
