Sharjah24: The Sharjah Department of Civil Aviation (SDCA) hosts students of the College of Medicine at the University of Sharjah (UOS) as part of a training program entitled (Family and Community Health) on Tuesday of every week, which started on 31st Jan,2023 and will continue till 7th March, 2023 with the aim of promoting health and occupational health and discovering new diseases.
The Training section has prepared a training program that includes an introductory overview of the Department of Civil Aviation and its missions. With the participation of Air Transport & DCA Services, DCA Operations, DCA Security and Air Navigation Services, the program also includes organizing a field tour for students in cooperation with Sharjah Aviation Services (SAS) & Air Arabia.
Sheikh Khalid bin Issam Al Qasimi, Chairman of Department of Civil Aviation, Sharjah, said: “We are keen at the Department of Civil Aviation to follow all health procedures in accordance with the latest and accredited international standards within the employees’ work environment to preserve their safety and create appropriate work environment to enable them to perform their tasks and daily work comfortably and to the fullest, In addition to promoting a culture of health, safety and occupational environment among all our employees through training courses and setting instructions to be followed at all stages of work and operational processes. The Department of Civil Aviation also continues its efforts to upgrade the expertise of its trained and qualified employees to reach the highest levels of excellence and quality through ongoing training, knowledge sharing, and mechanisms for improving the health and safety of human resources.
Sheikh Khalid added: “Hosting the College of Medicine at the University of Sharjah and providing the students with a training program also comes within the framework of MoU that was signed with the University of Sharjah previously in line with the directives of our wise leadership to promote a culture of creativity and innovation in society, and to contribute to enhancing the process of development and renaissance of UAE, upgrading the services provided and contribute to the success of joint initiatives”.
