Sharjah24: The Sharjah Volunteer Work Award (SAVW ) has organized the 4th Sharjah Volunteer Work Forum, which was held at the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park under the slogan "Sustainability of Volunteering".
The forum included a video presentation about the forum's effectiveness, honoring a number of personalities, partners and leaders, in addition to holding three discussion sessions during the forum in participation of Dirar Belhoul Al Falasi, Member of the Federal National Council, Executive Director of Watani Al Emarat Foundation, the Ministry of Community Development, the Sharjah Education Council, The Emirates Foundation for School Education and the Sharjah Center for Voluntary Work.
Fatima Musa Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Award and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, appreciated the efforts of the participants in the forum, including national leaders, experts, government agencies, and academic researchers with competence and experience in the fields of voluntary studies, who enriched the forum with valuable information and experiences that contribute to strengthening the award’s approach towards volunteer work plans.
She pointed out that the forum is one of a series of events organized by the Award to instill, embody and disseminate the values of voluntary work at the societal and institutional level to reach the sustainability of voluntary work.
She also expressed her thanks and appreciation to the various participants and attendees, including representatives of institutions, volunteer teams, families and individuals, pointing out that the award seeks to benefit from the presented recommendations and valuable individual interventions, which indicates that the forum has achieved its desired goals.
His Excellency Dirar Belhoul Al Falasi, who stressed the importance of promoting and consolidating the status of volunteer work, participation and social responsibility among individuals and institutions of the country in order to reach the best global practices and targeted results in this field, which is one of the main objectives of Watani Al Emarat Foundation, pointing out that Volunteer work advances the system of national and human values and constants of the state that has made volunteer work an institutional act, and a value firmly established in the conscience of the individual and society based on the concept of volunteer work as a philosophy of benevolence and a philosophy of giving that is rooted in a moral, societal and religious value legacy fixed in the spirit and mind in thought, behavior and work, and between working side by side with various entities that have a significant and tangible role in supporting the efforts of the state, especially in voluntary work.
