During the event
Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, inspected, on Wednesday, the new buildings project for the Kalba University.
His Highness was briefed on the construction work in the new buildings and facilities of the university and the most prominent updates that took place, listening to a detailed explanation about the progress of work, and the most important services that the university will provide to its students, faculty and administrative staff.

His Highness directed the addition of an integrated sports complex at the university, which includes a covered hall that contains a swimming hall and an indoor stadium that serves various sports, and includes an amphitheatre with the latest standards, as well as outdoor stadiums used for all sports.



His Highness directed that all sports facilities be made compatible with the needs of the university to support the learning process for the majors that the university will offer.

His Highness also approved a site for the implementation of housing for male students and another for female students, in addition to the future expansion plan of the university with all facilities and needs that will keep pace with future development.



His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah was accompanied during the visit by Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler’s Office Kalba, Ali Saeed bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Public Works, Suleiman bin Sarhan Al Zaabi, Head of the Municipal Affairs Department, and Dr. Ali Obaid Al Zaabi, Director of the University of Sharjah, Kalba Branch, and a number of officials and project engineers.
