5th Al Bataeh Folk Festival continues its activities

Sharjah24: His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Saluma Al Ketbi, Director of Al Bataeh Municipality stated that the 5th edition of Al Bataeh Folk Festival continues its various cultural and heritage events and activities from January 12 to January 27 in Al Bataeh Public Park, under the title "The Antiquity of Heritage and the Authenticity of Customs and Traditions", with the participation of a number of government and private agencies and productive families.

Abdullah Al Ketbi confirmed in exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24" that a section has been allocated for traditional handicrafts carried out by a number of craftsmen, and a section for productive families, where they display their various products to the public.

During his exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24", His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Saluma Al Ketbi highlighted the importance of the festival, stressing its goal to support productive families in the region, adding that the festival includes a section for traditional handicrafts of a number of skilled craftsmen. He stressed that the festival also includes a section for productive families, where they display their various products to the public, adding that Al Bataeh Municipality will compensate the families with sums of money if the products of the productive families are not sold.

Concluding his statement, His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Saluma Al Ketbi announced the launch of the "We All Read" initiative, in cooperation with Al Qasimi Publications, which will be launched on Thursday, January 19, aiming to encourage community members to read.
