Sharjah24: Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( SCCI) organised the 5th edition of Al Bataeh Folk Festival, including many events, initiatives and competitions that meet all the needs of visitors.
His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Saluma Al Ketbi, Chairman of Al Bataeh Municipality, clarified that the festival in this edition witnesses a large number of events and activities with a large participation of partners.
These activities aim to achieve the goals of the festival by supporting productive families and encouraging handicrafts in order to preserve the Emirati folk heritage.
SCCI purchased the products and handicrafts made by the families to support them to continue their job, and all the stores of the productive families are free of charge .
In addition to many cultural competitions held in collaboration with the University of Sharjah, the festival offers a range of cultural initiatives in partnership with Al Qasimi Publications through the introduction of the "We All Read" initiative.
Bin Saloma stressed that Sharjah Media City, Shams, offers great initiatives such as competitions for the young poet, the young photographer and the young painter, and a large number of workshops in drawing and teaching Arabic calligraphy and photography.
