Sharjah24: The 19th edition of the Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival (SAPF), being held under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, celebrated the honouring of the Emirati poet Sheikha Abdullah Al-Mutairi and the Saudi poet Hassan Al-Zahrani, during the ceremony that was held at the Cultural Palace.
Emirati poet Sheikha Abdullah Al-Mutairi expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for the honouring, adding that the emirate of Sharjah is the destination of poets, describing it as a blessed land that celebrates poetry and poets, fulfilling the poets' dreams of belonging to poetry, literature and culture.
In turn, the Saudi poet Hassan Al-Zahrani thanked the capital of culture and literature, the Emirate of Sharjah, for its great and continuous support for poetry and poets, expressing his pleasure with this precious honouring from His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah.
He explained that he was very pleased that he was honoured on behalf of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this great poetry forum that is being held in Sharjah, expressing his gratitude to the Department of Culture and the Festival for printing his poetry collection.
