His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, upon his arrival, removed the traditional curtain, and then toured around the school, starting from the kindergarten building, where he was briefed on the teaching mechanism in the various classes, and learned about the level of benefit and impact of education methods on children and the extent of their integration with it.
After that, His Highness visited the theater building, and was briefed on its contents and facilities, which can accommodate 430 people and is equipped with various technologies and the latest devices that help organising various educational, entertainment activities and events.
The Ruler of Sharjah concluded his tour by visiting the primary school building, and witnessed the extent of students' interaction with what the teachers offer during the study sessions, in which interactive methods are used to develop children's skills and consolidate their knowledge.
Victoria International School in Kalba consists of 4 main buildings on an area of 10,000 square meters, which is the administrative building that includes offices, a meeting room, a training room, first aid rooms, two doctors' rooms, and service health facilities.
The second building is dedicated to kindergartens, and includes 19 classrooms for kindergarten and the first grade of primary school, in addition to a main air-conditioned multi-purpose yard, library, number of teachers’ offices, meeting rooms and health facilities, and two covered outdoor playgrounds.
As for the third building, it is the primary school building, which is intended for basic education stages from the second to the sixth grade, and contains 11 classrooms, teachers’ and meeting rooms, covered playgrounds, health facilities, and a multi-purpose hall.
The fourth building was dedicated to the theater, to host various school activities, and to provide students with the opportunity to participate in events and perform the various arts and skills they learn at school.
The opening was attended by: Sheikh Mohammad bin Saud Al Qasimi, Head of the Central Finance Department, Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler in Khorfakkan, Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler in Kalba, Sheikh Saud bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, CEO of the real estate sector at Sharjah Asset Management, and a number of senior officials and heads of government departments.
