Aisha Al Mulla the new director of FOCP

Sharjah 24: The Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) – a UAE-based civil society organisation, has announced Aisha Abdulla Al Mulla as the new Director.
In her new role, she will continue FOCP’s journey and goals to provide support for cancer patients and their families, additionally they will raise community awareness of the importance of early cancer detection and leading a healthy lifestyle.

Al Mulla obtained a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) in Sharjah and held key positions in several associations and government institutions. She has extensive experience in humanitarian work management, including cancer patients and refugees from war-torn and crisis areas. Prior to joining FOCP, she served as Director of Programmes at The Big Heart Foundation, a UAE-based global humanitarian organisation dedicated to helping refugees and people in need worldwide.

Commenting on the appointment, HE Sawsan Jafar, Chairperson of FOCP Board of Directors, said: “For over two decades, FOCP strived to support and alleviate the burden of cancer patients. With the appointment of Al Mulla, we will continue our mission and goals rooted in raising community awareness and supporting cancer patients morally and financially.

Since its inception, FOCP has transformed the lives of thousands of individuals by providing moral support to cancer patients in addition to monetary support to cover the high costs of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgical operations, from the time of diagnosis until recovery.
