Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Police (SP) celebrated the winners of the "Virtual Hackathon 2022", the first of its kind among the police forces in the world, in a ceremony held, on Tuesday at the Police Science Academy.
This came in the presence of His Excellency Brigadier General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amir, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of SP.
The “hackathon” competitions came within two tracks, the first being the development of a smart application, and the second presenting an innovative idea.
It is noteworthy that the "Virtual Hackathon 2022" was launched in February of this year, and aimed to involve the community in all its categories in enhancing security and safety.
The Virtual Hacakthon also promotes a culture of innovation, consolidating the practices of community participation and the innovative use of modern technologies in community service.
