Sharjah24 – AFP: Yenifer Paredes, the sister-in-law of the president of Peru, Pedro Castillo, was released from prison after an appeals court overturned a court ruling that sent her to preventive detention for 30 months in August for being part of an alleged corruption network led by the president.
Commenting on this, Milagros Mendoza, supporter of President Pedro Castillo said, "She is innocent, she is innocent, she has been unjustly imprisoned."

She added, "They are politically persecuting the president to bring him down but they won’t be able to do it because the people support the president and he will govern until 2026."
