Sharjah24 – AFP: Peruvian President Pedro Castillo signs a decree declaring the oil spill on the Peruvian coast an environmental emergency, on a beach in Ventanilla, which has been affected by the ecological disaster.
Pedro Castillo, president of Perúsaid, "We cannot shy away from responsibility here, it is about taking responsibility, and in this case we expect the company that caused the ecological disaster to take responsibility."
The president of Perú added, "We are in one of the places most affected by the oil spill that occurred a few days ago and which has been the most alarming ecological disaster on the Peruvian coast in recent times."
