Sharjah24: Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, welcomed Maxi Lopez, president of Birmingham City Club, and Christian Codoma, director of the club, to the council headquarters. Birmingham City Club is a Premier League club in England. The visit is part of international relations that help Sharjah clubs grow and thrive.
Al-Hazami expressed optimism about the outcomes of these gatherings, saying that the council is willing to foster an environment that supports the emirate's sustained growth and participation in sports.
He said that the high level of professionalism among Emirati players in Spanish clubs is due to the country's strong international ties.
The English club delegation thanked Issa Hilal for his gracious hospitality, and they went on to emphasise the importance of the Sharjah Sports Council in fostering the resurgence of sports in the emirate, as well as the clubs' high potential and keen interest in it.
