Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, confirmed that the Kalba Beach Breaker provides industrial protection for fishes from the clutches of predators and hurricanes, and make them reproduce peacefully, due to its 200-meter holes.

The largest pasture for fishes in Kalba

His Highness explained, "The amount of fishes that will be present from the Breaker area to the shore is innumerable, because aquatic organisms grew on Breaker, and the fishes will hide among the coral reefs to escape from predatory fishes, and the bottom fishes such as the grouper are all hiding among the reefs, and this region has the largest pasture for fishes, stating that we do not wait for nature to disgrace us, we are cultivating”, noting that nearly a million reefs have been planted so far.

Soil nature in the area of  Kalba Beach Breaker

The second and third stage

His Highness pointed out that the second phase of Breaker will be from Khor Kalba to Khatm Al Navah to protect the second beach from other things, for example, protecting marine life such as crabs and turtles, endangered with extinction, and the third phase will be from Kalba Port to the entrance of the city.

Al Layyah Canal

His Highness affirmed that the intention of this process is to clean and not harm the marine life at the bottom, and the amount of sand that will be dug in the channel will go to Kalba.”
