Sharjah 24: A number of Emirati artisans reviewed their success stories and the role of communication in enabling them to highlight and consolidate the folklore, in a presentation hosted by the "Inspiration Eve" hall, within the activities of the 11th edition of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF2022).
Fatima Ahmad Al Naqbi, Artisan at Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council, Fatima Ahmad Mahmoud and Sheikha Al Dhuhoori spoke in session. The dialogue was moderated by Sharifa Al Dhuhoori, Manager of Bidwa Social Development Centre.
In statements to “Sharjah 24”, Al Naqbi said that communication and providing government support to achieve the communication of female artisan with the public is one of the most important factors for success.
She added that the transmission of information or content enhances the preservation of the popular heritage, its transmission and consolidation among the different segments of society, including the traditional professions and crafts included in this heritage that has almost disappeared.
