SDHR organises training programme in first aid for employees

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR), in cooperation with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will organise a training programme in first aid during the period from 12 to 20 September 2022.
This comes within a series of the programmes implemented by the SDHR for Sharjah government employees at the level of all cities of the Emirate.

The programme targets a number of employees of Sharjah government of all levels, provided that the participants are divided into 3 groups, where the first includes Sharjah government employees and the Sharjah Education Council employees will be in the second group, while the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department employees will come in the third group.

The training covers the basics of first aid, the principles of first medical care, the responsibilities of a first aider and focuses on aspects of occupational health and safety, injuries and first aid in the workplace.

At the end of the two-day training programme, participants will obtain a one-year paramedic licence in addition to an internationally accredited certificate.

The implementation of the programme comes in an effort by the SDHR to raise the level of awareness and health culture among employees in the Emirate, to qualify them to deal with emergencies and accidents, and to enable them to provide first aid services in the event of crises and injuries, and to contribute to saving lives or alleviating the severity of their injuries.
