Sharjah24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) obtained two certificates of ISO 9001:2015 in the quality management system and ISO 45001:2018 in the field of occupational health and safety management as a culmination of its efforts in implementing the best standards and specifications in four desalination and water pumping stations, improving work and organizing operations.
Engineer Essam Al Mulla, Director of the Water and Desalination Plants Department, explained that the desalination plants that obtained the ISO 9001: 2015 certificate for the quality management system, and the ISO 45001: 2018 certificate for the occupational health and safety management system included (Al-Rahmaniya station, Al Hamriyah station, Budee station and Falaj station).
He stressed that the application of standard specifications in water desalination plants contributes to enhancing the development process through the use of the latest administrative and technological methods and the rehabilitation of the human element at the highest levels in improving performance, adhering to the highest standards, striving for continuous qualification and gaining experience by working in an appropriate work environment and compatibility with international standards in the quality.
