Sharjah24 - WAM: In line with the UAE's efforts to strengthen relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and as part of a previous decision to raise diplomatic representation to the rank of ambassador and a recent phone call in this regard, held on July 26, 2022, between H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Dr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) reported that Saif Mohammed Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Tehran, will resume his duties in the coming days.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, this is accomplished in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This is done in accordance with the rules for diplomatic relations between two countries.
The Ministry confirmed that Ambassador Al Zaabi will go back to work at the UAE Embassy in the Islamic Republic of Iran in the next few days. He will work with officials in the Islamic Republic of Iran to help improve bilateral relations and achieve goals that benefit both countries and the region as a whole.
