WhatsApp’s new privacy feature lets you quietly leave group chats

The Meta-owned company has promised to add the ability for users to leave messaging groups silently. This could be especially useful if you are a member of a hyper-active group chat that you are no longer engaged with. 

Or if you are a member of a large group chat that was originally created for an event. Under the new system, only group administrators will still get an alert, but everyone else in a group chat will not. 

The ability to leave groups silently will roll out to WhatsApp later this month.
