Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, President of University of Khorfakkan, received on Tuesday morning a delegation from the British University of Exeter, at University of Khorfakkan.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah welcomed the visiting delegation, pointing to the fruitful cooperation between the Emirate of Sharjah and its educational, academic and institutions with various British universities, including the prestigious University of Exeter, which reflects the keenness of the emirate's universities in its various regions to scientific communication and develop their experience in offering advanced programmes related to the environment and future studies.

The meeting dealt with cooperation in academic and scientific fields between University of Khorfakkan and University of Exeter in a number of scientific fields, including marine sciences, which is one of the modern and pioneering disciplines offered by the university to students, in addition to other engineering and literary programmes that will contribute to the development of education in the region and the completion of what the Emirate is working on.

His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, accompanied by the visiting delegation, toured University of Khorfakkan to learn about its various facilities that are compatible with the academic and research environment that it provides for students and professors and the programmes offered by the university.

Sharjah Ruler was introduced to a model of the university's computer laboratories, where he listened to an explanation of what the laboratory contains, the types of devices, and the various services that the laboratory provides for students from various faculties of the university.

His Highness was also briefed on a model of physics laboratories, and learned about the capabilities of the laboratory in providing educational opportunities that researchers and students need to conduct experiments and follow-up research and scientific studies, within the framework of interest in scientific research in various sciences.
