Sharjah24: Sheikh Tariq bin Faisal Al Qasimi honoured players who won the gold medal from the Sharjah Police General Command team, during their participation in the Sharjah Jiu-Jitsu Festival in its first session, which was held in the sports hall of Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled, during July 2022, with the participation of (96) players from ( 26) clubs and (30) nationalities, under the generous patronage of the Sharjah Sports Council in cooperation with the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation.
The tournament included seven separate categories for men’s weights, where Sharjah Police player Salem Ismail Bilal, from the Ports and Airports Police Department, won the gold medal for weight less than (56) kilograms, and the player Ahmed Ibrahim Al Hammadi, from the Traffic and Patrols Department, won the gold medal for weight less than (62) (Kilograms, men's white belt category.
During the honoring, which was attended by Ahmed Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club, the two players expressed their great happiness with this honor.
