UAE, “TikTok” encouraging dissemination of positive content

Sharjah 24: Dr. Rashid Khalfan Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the Media Regulatory Office at the Ministry of Culture and Youth, discussed, during a remote meeting, with Julie de Bellencourt, head of the international team for product policy at Tik Tok, encouraging the dissemination of positive content on the platform, and strengthening the mechanisms for applying media content standards in force in the country, to all posted on social media platforms.
The two sides stressed the need to take appropriate measures against the owners of the content that is being reported, which amounts to closing the account permanently, thus contributing to limiting abuses, reaching violators, and referring them to the competent authorities in the country.
