Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated the new headquarters of the Bee’ah Group, located on Al Dhaid-Sharjah Road, in the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; and Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
Upon his arrival at the venue, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah signed the electronic board, officially launching the new headquarters. His Highness then went to the futuristic theatre inside the building, where the national anthem was played and verses from the Holy Quran were read.

His Highness viewed a visual presentation on Bee’ah Group's journey of achievements since its inception as a waste management company in the Emirate of Sharjah, until it evolved into a worldwide multi-sector holding group dedicated to achieving the objective of a sustainable future for all.

His Highness then toured the halls of the new headquarters, which serve as the centre for management of the group's various branches and subsidiaries, where he was briefed on the building's facilities, technologies, and spacious yards, which provide a distinct experience for employees and visitors and contribute to increasing productivity and achieving the best results.

The new building, designed by the late renowned architect Zaha Hadid, is regarded as one of the most sustainable and smart constructions in the Middle East, and it sets new benchmarks for future offices owing to the modern technologies it holds.

The new Bee’ah building is powered by solar energy and has several innovative technologies that show Bee’ah's eagerness to keep up with the changing times, with digital transformation seen as a key pillar in the group's plans.

All of these aspects assist and support Bee’ah in meeting its carbon neutrality goals, as well as serving as a model for future offices and sustainable communities.

The new Bee’ah Group headquarters is the most artificial intelligence-enabled administrative building in the Middle East, reflecting a special harmony between sustainability and new technology, and was built in accordance with LEED Platinum standards (an international system for measuring the design, construction, and operation of high-performance environment-friendly buildings in a carbon-neutral manner).

The structure is one of the last buildings designed by international architect Zaha Hadid, who was inspired by the sand dunes that are a natural element of the UAE's landscape.

The building has unique innovations such as contactless halls, face recognition technology for logging in, smart meeting rooms, and a building application that provides staff with the most recent updates and information.

The building also has automated lighting and temperature adjustments based on the number of people seated and the amount of sunshine, and the rooms are outfitted with a suite of tools and technology that make it easier to have face-to-face or virtual meetings.

In addition to advanced technologies, the building was designed to use the least amount of energy and to be an embodiment of the meaning of sustainability and environmental preservation. To go along with these features and characteristics, the building's exterior design was in harmony with the weather, allowing it to be the most efficient.

The new construction also blends in with the surroundings, with a steel framework coated in concrete and reinforced with fiberglass that reflects the heat of the sun and prevents heat gain. Internally, a cooling system of panels and glass helps to naturally regulate the building's temperatures, and in addition to the aforementioned, the building relies on a solar farm to store energy through Tesla batteries to achieve the concepts of sustainability and reliance on renewable energy sources.

At the conclusion of the inauguration of the group's headquarters, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah received a gift from Salem Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Bee’ah Group, representing a small model of the new building.

The opening ceremony also saw the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Central Finance Department in Sharjah; Sheikh Khalid bin Essam Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation; Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler's Office; Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority; several senior officials from government departments, municipal councils, and directors of the emirate's municipalities.
