Sharjah24: The 49th Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show 2022 (WJMES), organized by Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, concluded on Sunday with over 60,000 visitors.
WJMES, which commenced on March 23rd, played a substantial role to boost the gold and jewellery market by attracting hundreds of merchants, industry leaders, and visitors eager to take advantage of exclusive offers and learn about the finest jewellery and the latest gold and diamond trends.

This year's edition attracted over 300 local and international jewellery and gold enterprises and brands from 20 countries, demonstrating the exhibition's expanding regional relevance in the gold and trade industry.

WJMES has continued to gain momentum with the constant influx of tourists in the UAE, in addition to the Expo Centre's keenness to add vital commercial routes and an ideal atmosphere to further enrich the customer experience.

The exhibition presented a stunning display of the latest collections of premium jewellery and one-of-a-kind timepieces at competitive pricing. The spring edition of WJMES witnessed a high number of sales, with visitors rushing to purchase unique gold and jewellery pieces and participate in raffle draws to win valuable prizes.

Additionally, the presence of Lebanese megastar Najwa Karam as WJMES guest of honor, Emirati composer Fayez Al Saeed, and various social media personalities further increased the number of attendees to the exhibition.

Speaking on the success of this year’s WJMES, His Excellency Saif Mohamed Al-Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, said, “We are delighted with the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show's outstanding success in terms of attracting large number of visitors and offering a leading regional platform for exhibitors to showcase their latest gold and jewellery innovations. As a result of the event's success, exhibitors have expressed an interest in participating in future editions.”

Al Midfa affirmed that the preparations for the 50th edition will commence right after the conclusion of the 49th edition in order to maintain WJMES's leading position both regionally and globally.

The 49th Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show featured national pavilions from several of the leading countries in the gold industry, as well as internationally recognized jewellery brands and companies. More notably, several Italian jewellery companies had a significant presence and involvement in this year's edition, with a stunning display of hundreds of pieces of gold and diamonds, precious metals and gemstones, as well as a special collection of jewellery inspired by the Italian culture.
