Sharjah24: The new Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) held a meeting on Wednesday at the Chamber’s headquarters, headed by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI, in the presence of Sheikh Majid bin Faisal bin Khalid bin Khalid Al Qasimi, First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber, and other members of the board.
The board was briefed on the achievements of the Chamber and the latest projects that are being implemented, which aim to develop its services and activities, in line with the economic renaissance witnessed by Sharjah and the UAE in general. During the meeting, the sub-committees of the board were re-formed.
Al Owais stressed that the new council will be keen to complete the Chamber’s progress during the next stage by making a qualitative leap in the Chamber’s services and activities to achieve its new strategy for the year 2022-2024 including, supporting business sectors, developing a system of institutional excellence and optimal investment in the Chamber’s resources, in addition to applying an innovative approach to enhancing cooperation with various Sharjah government institutions.
The board emphasised the enhancement of the Chamber’s role in attracting more qualitative investments to the emirate, as well as setting plans to double the contributions of the private sector in promoting the opportunities enjoyed by Sharjah, and adopting an innovative concept to expand the benefits for members and affiliates of the Chamber’s initiatives.
