Sharjah24: The 19th edition of Sharjah Heritage Days (SHD), organized by Sharjah Institute of Heritage (SIH), was launched on Thursday, March 10, in the Heart of Sharjah. The event will resume its activities until March 28.
The Republic of Armenia is participating in this year’s SHD as the guest of honor.

Astghik Marabyan, Head of Department of Cultural Heritage and Folk Crafts of the Armenian Pavilion, talked exclusively to “Sharjah24” about their country’s participation in the remarkable event.

She stated that their participation is recognized as a great opportunity to showcase Armenian rich history, culture, and handcrafts such as carpets weaving, doll making, and embrodiry to the world from the capital of art and heritage.

Marabyan added that the event is a cultural communication hub where different peoples from various cultural backgrounds can meet and share.

She hopes that in the future, Armenia collaborate with the SIH to host the UAE as a guest of honour at a cultural event such as the Sharjah Heritage Days in Armenia.
