Sharjah 24 - WAM: On the side-lines of the 11th Association of Senates, "Shoora," and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World Conference in Rabat, Morocco, Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Rachid Talbi Alami, Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives.
During the meeting, both sides discussed approaches to enhance bilateral collaboration and coordination on mutually beneficial issues, stressing the great relevance of bilateral parliamentary ties between the two friendly countries.
Ghobash highlighted the UAE's good ties with Morocco, stating that the two countries share similar views and stances on a range of regional and international issues, and commended Morocco's experiences and achievements in a variety of fields.
Alami welcomed Ghobash and the FNC delegation and expressed heartfelt thanks for their visit, which would help enhance ties between the two parliaments.
He also highlighted Morocco's historic and cultural ties to the UAE, confirming Morocco's support for the UAE and all necessary actions to safeguard its territory and people.
